Night Ginny, like me, you were an early starter this morning. You need your beauty sleep m'dear!

I've spent quite a bit of time on my knees today....

Cynthia Report 31 Oct 2010 22:27

I was under that there sink at 9.30 this morning Fans.....OH was under it at 12.30.....don't know why we didn't hold a party under there!! Old towels are quite good on the knees.

Giving up now. OH is watching TV's 100 scariest movies - what a load of unmentionables. I don't scare easily but he jumps about. Well, he'll just have to jump around on his own.....I ain't staying holding his hand now......too bushed.

Night all.

Thank you.
Found nothing and passed it on to someone who is much better at Irish stuff than me,asking if they can help her at all.

I prob would have had that leak fixed for you in a jiffy...But I dont live near you ...so tuff or get a bowl under it or dont use the kitchen sink for while, use the bathroom one....

just back from shopping

paid department store bill

bought new supply of choccies .... dark chocolate covered ginger for me :)))

Mall absolutely crazy with shoppers and kiddiwinks dressed up for Hallowe'en

then went to buy drawer and cupboard handles ....... found one we liked,

OH picked out 24

Went to cash desk, service guy pulled out one and ran it through the scan, then clicked x24

OH used his M/c to pay the bill

Got out to the car

OH gave me the bill saying "spent a lot today"

I looked at the bill

hmmmmmmmmmmm

24 x 128 mm handles @ $10.95 each

I thought we'd picked 96 mm handles @ something like $2.79 each

Back to the store

Sorted through the bag (with a store helper)

OH had picked up 23 x 96 mm PLUS 1 x 128 mm

Find 1 more 96 mm handle

Line up at Return Desk

All refunded and re-calculated

Bill drops from $280+ to around $70

whew!

Cyn ...... lots of sympathy on leaky sink. We had one of those some time ago.

Boy, am I glad that that has now been repaired ................... the old piping was IN the wall, the new ones comes up through the floor

I sometimes had nightmares about what we'd do if the bit inside the wall leaked!

I will be very glad to get that piping connected to the sink!

Cyns

If the leak is fairly small, dry the area out and use gaffa tape. We had a leak in the pub sink, gaffa taped up the hole, 2 years later we still have a leakproof sink!!!

Gaffa tape is the cure all for loads of things!
