I dont mind spending £20 a year but I am not happy with the way I had been treated by GR over a warning I had.

So why should I pay them money? anyway I may get bored after midnight and change my mind

Other than that there is not much to do other than row with people :-D

OH's plane landed about 4:15 pm (a little early) ........ he walked into the house at about 5:40 pm!

He had waited for his case, not had to speak to a Customs or Immigration Officer ......... some sort of pre-sorting by machine ........ bit like your Red and Green lanes

Caught the overhead train (tube but above ground) from the airport to this side of the river (about 5-10 minute ride). Then walked from the station home (about 20 minutes.

Not bad!!

He then talked almost non-stop for nearly 3 hours. He ended up going to bed at about 8:45 pm ................... which meant he had been up for about 22-23 hours

Very dark this morning and the rain battered against the bedroom window on and off all night..... :-(

Am hoping that today is going to be a relaxing day :-D

Granddaughter is going on a school trip to Yorkshire today. Whereabouts I asked. "Dunno, some art thingey place". Your guess is as good as mine. My son thinks it may be Leeds because there is an 'art thingey' place there. :-D

I had a bad day yesterday and I am very unhappy.
I am still trying to add one person to my tree,
Yesterday the same person ended up being duplicated several times over.
Sometimes attached just to the mother or just the father and then looped into being married to the mother,
Just managed to delete them and and them again.
First thing I notice when I add the partner is that auto fill has given him his wife's middle name,
Then it has added her place of birth.
If that is not spotted it will lead to all sorts of errors.
When I have added his details and saved it I come out and his wife and has disappeared. I can only see him on his own.
Fiddle around a bit then find him apparently married to me!!!!
Deleted again.

Hey peeps,

How are we all...?

I've added a post about adding actual BMD data onto the BMD as Postem's.

I'd really appreciate your opinions on it :-D

Quiet again round here...... :-S

Trace, I had a look at your post but don't have enough experience or knowledge on how to answer. Sorry...... :-(

LK - really sorry you are having such a bad time with the tree format.

I'm feeling quite sad :-( and perplexed :-S at the moment.

I played around with the new tree format a few days ago and tried to familiarise myself with it. A few hiccups along the way but I eventually got to grips with most of it and I enjoy it.

There are so many threads on here and on FB from those who are having a bad time that I almost feel guilty.

So, how come I, with my limited tekkie knowledge etc. have found it to work and be okay, when others, such as LK etc. are having so many problems?

A lot of the postings are from relatively new to the boards members so I guess there is an element of 'user' error and misunderstandings. Although some seem to be complaining at the first thing they don't understand - I just wish they would give things a chance first.

I have found one member who is complaining bitterly and requesting the return of the old format, actually complained bitterly when THAT one was introduced. in 2009. I guess they can't take change.......sigh.

Someone has even suggested that those of us who find it okay are getting special treatment........that makes me so sad.... :-(

I am going away to hide my head under my wing........

:-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Gee

Gee Report 20 Jan 2012 17:47

Youre going away to hide your head under your wig? Dont do that Cyns......might fall orf and scare the dog

Ive had a little look at my tree and it seems OK to me, glad to see that you dont have to delete an entire line just to get rid of one person!

Gee

Gee Report 20 Jan 2012 17:54
