Which Island are your family going to Fans.....North or South? One of my friends has a daughter, sone in law and baby granddaughter on the North Island and they absolutely love it. They keep in touch by Skype all the time.

Just want to say sorry to all the researchers trying to help people like me, just read about 'don't ask about the same name or family' I think I am guilty of that, borne of sheer frustration, not being able to get anywhere further on my Antorn family. So sorry I forgot.

Since I posted my complaint re my ISP on their site ont'other side, I have received personal attention from one of their employees. Today, he was able to help me access my emails which I haven't been able to do since 28.1 When I finally cracked it, there were 388 waiting for me! Have been ploughing through them to see what I missed.

Hopefully (!) I should be reconnected tomorrow when my son sorts out my router for me. What will I do when all is well again......?????

my friend who lives between Christchurch and Lyttelton (the epicentre of the quake) has managed to get a message out that she is safe, and her power has been re-connected. However, all her treasures that weren't broken last September are now smashed.

You know exactly what a box brownie is Ginns !!! - You are not THAT young that you wouldn't remember, surely??

It was an old camera which folded together like a concertina into a box thingy. You had to hold it at waist level, put your hand around the top to shade it and look down into it - you would then see an upside down picture which you were expected to 'snap' and get a decent result from !!!

'Out of the ark' eh ??? - They were very good though !

First wife Ann Dotchon ( no DOB ) married 23 Jul 1833 Marrige Thornton by Pocklington to Benjamin Fearn (1816 Askham Richard ) wife dies
Fearn Ann Leeds 23 271 - actual date 8th May
They had 3 children
John Fearn - 04 Jan 1835 : SAINT PETER,LEEDS,YORK,:
Elizabeth Fearne: 29 May 1836 St. Peter, Leeds, York
and Mary Ann, no details of birth ---see Edit

Note -- Date of Attestation 5 April 1842 Liverpool -----so where is Ben and children in 1841 census taken the night of 6 June 1841.

Benjamin Fearn remarries Mary Ann Scoley 5th Sept 1841 St Peters Parish Church Leeds

So in theory I should find Benjamin + 3 kids and the bride to be
