Sorted now.

Mattress well and truly turned thanks. Actually, one is supposed to turn a mattress every so often y'know! huh

His name was Henry Evans and he worked for a firm called Bridgeman and Son in Lichfield. As a child I was told that one of the jobs he was involved with was placing the Gold Balls and Crosses atop the 3 spires of Lichfield cathedral which must have been an hair raising experience to say the least.

Cold and wet here too ja....x, although the sun has 'just' come out and it is feeling a little warmer!

Re Mattress turning - When I bought my new bed, which I admit was several years ago, It said - don't turn, just swivel around, and it was made with no cushioned bit underneath so you can't turn it !!

I used to like to turn it because my husband is twice my size and twice my weight - He made a big dent which, if I was not careful, I used to roll into (OOOeer !! - quite nice really !!). ANYWAY, - this one does not 'turn' !!

OH has just gone to 'Town' to get a few bits and pieces!

His car is still there - he has obviously taken the bus!!

He does that a lot now he has his 'bus pass' - It is free now, you know!!

I will get mine in July but I am afraid I won't be able to use it as much.

I can't walk more than a few 100 yards and can't carry shopping very far so I NEED to take my 'trusty' 22 year old car wherever I go !

Perhaps I will do some 'round trips' if ever I want to go 'sight-seeing' ??
