I think the problem with the records on this site, which I dont think is explained.....is you cannot put a middle intitial in.

Just had a lady who was looking for her dad thinking he was still alive as she could'nt find a death on here....I found it straight away just using first name and surname. Now she thinks we are related as I sent her birth details of half siblings!!!

SylviaInCanada Report 1 Mar 2011 01:15

actually ja...x, you have to be flexible on all the sites when looking at records!

and people don't realise that

I can't count the number of records I've found by omitting one name, or using an initial instead of the full name.

Very true sylv....but

On ancestry his death was registered as Albert Edward ****
Had it had been on Freebmd full names or Albert E would have bought the record up but not on here...just first and surname?

Just checked FMP...thats fine as it gives you the option to add a middle name if there is one. 1984 -2005

Ok time for bed although I have been asleep for a few hours night

I think I I have found some siblings for the foster father and a tree on Ancestry claims Llewellyn T Jones.
I think the foster child is likely to be a family member.

Time is very short on this one.

Dea

Dea Report 1 Mar 2011 09:42

Yes - I keep looking at that one LK.

The real problem is that, as this child was given the foster father's name, I cannot see any way that we will be able to trace the true parents as the child would have been born, and presumably registered, under an entirely different name..............

You have done a very good job with tracing the foster parents but I don't see how we can ever discover the parents, unless there is a record of it somewhere within the family.
