and the red furry things that live in some areas.

Okay, so supposedly I forgot to do something that told fb to keep the ** out of my business.

I set all preferences to "me only", i.e. nobody else can see anything I do or take me anywhere I don't want to be. But I missed that somehow ...

an A: Just my theory, but I believe that if your email address is in another person's address book and they choose to allow Facebook to access their information, then that person will also show up as a suggestion on your account.


It wasn't me, it was her.

So the lesson is: use a completely virgin email address when signing up at facebook, and use it for nothing else! Because you can't trust any of your idiot Gmail correspondents not to violate your privacy.

-- edit -- or correspondents via any email address, it's a question of what's in their address book, not what your email address is.
