A guy phoned in today to say he had dropped his specs from the top of the shard. When he retrieved them a nosepad had fallen off and one lens scratched. Lenses to be replaced under guarantee.

How is that for durability?

In the warmer:-

bacon, breakfast sausages, turkey sausages, chef's potatoes, omelettes, boiled eggs, grilled mushrooms and tomato mix, fried bread


Buttermilk dollar pancakes, French toast, Maple syrup, Blueberry Fruit Syrup


Toast, Danish, croissants, crumpets

Jams, jellies, lemon marmalade, marmite, peanut butter

There will be pancakes (English-style, not American) with lemon and sugar for evening tea

I really like your website. As I said last night it is very user friendly, informative and it flows very well. The information is given in a way which is easy to understand from a lay persons prospective. It is also very professional. I have proof read it and haven't spotted any typos. You should be very proud of it. Good luck with it's launch

Well I got an email regarding the delivery of my oven that I ordered from BHS Direct.....spot the errors!


Order Received | Order Confirmed | Goods Despatched

We are pleased to inform you that your order has now been despatched and will be due with you on 10/03/2011.

To either confirm or reaarrange you delivery day, please contact our couriers on 0845 052 9035.Please note if you want to rearrange the delivery date, you must contact our couriers before 11:30am on the day before the delivery.

If we attempt to delivery and you are not at home, you will be charged for us to redeliver.

Goods must be unpacked and inspected with the driver, if this is not required please call 0845 0529035 for authorisation.


I sure as hell hope the above is not a reflection of the oven they are sending me!

Sounds like you are in for some fun Gins............oops. Hope the delivery men have more 'uptop' than mine did. Just make sure you have a toolbox and a piece of string ready.......that's how I sorted my delivery men out!


Really looking forward to those pancakes Sylvs as we won't have time to make any. Yums.

HID was a courier driver for a while last year, he said they never had time to wait for people to inspect the goods...different if it comes from the actual company like Currys or Argos ect

I know Ja..x, no way is the deliver geezer gonna stand about while I unpack the oven

When I had the new bathroom suite delivered it came up the drive encased in about half a ton of 4x4 wood and was taller than me

Dope of a driver was just about to scoot and I said, you cant leave this here on the drive...he said he had to he wasnt allowed to take it any further

So I said, move one more foot down that drive and you will be taking the lot back....

He came and put it in the hall.

tiping errers....i just thort i culd elp thum owt

So today as I had a counselling afternoon I decided to call on the way to work to pick up a sarni

Salad on white....got it back to the office and it was in a brown bag 10 times bigger than the sarni, on bread that I wouldnt give the birds

So after picking out the contents of said sarni and redeploying to the bread I gets a phone call cancelling this afternoon grrrr

But I have been updating a programme while chatting to you lot!

Anyone having problems with FMP today? I see there has been a problem going by their fb page.

I am not going to mention it on there as Dally would be on my back straight away

Been to the eye test center,everything hunky Dory there,hardly any wear and tear on my eyes since the last time(5 yrs ago)only a slight adjustment needed to the lenses so new specs sorted......Paid £15 for the non scratch stuff coating on them ....

£15 is a bit dear for a pair of reading glasses I think..

Glad your eyes are ok Fans, Ought to get my eyes tested really.

Fed up with Dally now, I shall stay well clear until she starts again lol
