I am sorry, I know very little about this man except the names of his parents, the year he was born, and that the birth was registered at Leeds North.
It has taken many hours and a lot of help from Genes to get this far.
The Clark family were born in Skipton the son of a Bargeman.
Alice married Edmund Kilburn my Grandmothers brother.
Ida married Fred Stell.
James married Maggie Allan and
I believe Ada married a William Newns. I ordered a marriage cert on monday to try and confirm this.
I can't find any children for Ida or Ada but can find the birth of a son Allan to James.
If he is still alive he is entitled to a share of £130,000.If he is dead his children if he had any are entitled to his share.
If I can't find them I get their share but really want to find them.

I am sorry to trouble you but I was completely wrong my Allan Clark didn't marry Audrey Harper.
So I am back to square one.
Still trying to find Allan Clark born 1934 Skipton. Father James Clark, Mother Maggie Allan.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Thank you. I think you have the correct pair because Keighley now comes under Bradfords registration area.
I don't have access to ancestry but will head to the library. I found out from the fantastic people at Utley Cemetery where to look for burials and cremations today.

I am sorry to be a nuisance but you have all been so helpful. I am now looking for Ada Clark who I believe married William H Newns 2nd quarter 1923. I have searched everything I have access to but I can't seem to find any children or Deaths for them.
Ada was born in 1895 and the family lived in the Keighley area of Yorkshire.

Thank you. I am fairly confident that he is the one who married Audrey Harper. I can find one child Michael J in 1962 is that the same one you found? I didn't see the other one, where did you find it ?
Does anyone know if it is possible to find someone from the electoral roll if all you have is a name and a date of birth?

The snag, Tom, is that until you know if the chap who married in 1957 is the one you're looking for, any info about children could be for completely unconnected people.

There are numerous births on Ancestry for the relevant surnames, but no way of knowing the identity of their parents..............

There are two in the same area as the marriage, but I think you need to make sure first that the marriage is the correct person

Thank you to Cynthia. I am worse than a novice at this and am very grateful for all the help I have received. I am a little puzzled by something in your message as I did stay by my computer as I was still searching for children of Allan Clark.I can only see one response to my query, which although helpful it is an expense I was trying to avoid at present. I am trying to limit my expenses to one cert per week .
If anyone can see if Allan and Audrey had any children I would be grateful.
I will have another look at the help section and see if I can improve.

I have found a marriage of an Allan to an Audrey H Harper in 1957 but am not sure if it is the same Allan Clark. Can anyone help me please?
