As they were not together it sounds as though he was a seaman
several people have looked for them but I am sorry I dont have the answers
They could be out of the country or just missed off or badly mistranscribed.

Hopefully someone will come up with the answer

how would i find out if she went back to ireland or if she is one of those on the passenger list i do know that after she died there was something in the local paper supposedly looking for her and her sister from a solicitor looking for the bolton sisters which was there maiden name any tips would be gratefully recieved thank you

havnt got full marriage cert yet but she married thomas keogh in1890 jan she was in the workhouse in middlesbrough for 1 week in 1891 and had her daughter in the august of that year mary ann i know her and her sister both came to middlesbrough from county wicklow and married in the same year she died in middlesbrough in 1955 and her daughter married there and when she remarried she was a widow and she only had the 1 child ps im sorry i dont know how to edit this stuff ps my nana told me she thought he was a seaman but not sure

You should of just bought forward your previous post and edited it.

Ok she married in 1890 where was her husband in 1891 do you have the marriage cert? what was his occupation? could they have been abroad ? when did he die?

sorry but nobody has found ellen and her daughter in the 1901 census sorry if im wasting anyones time but im new to this but nobody can find them on that census and all i wanted to know was there any where else i could look

yes the ellen keogh you have in 1891 in the work house is her have found out that she remarried in 1913 a william chadwick in stockton there is nothing inbetween but thanxs for your help

ellen keogh neebolton born in ireland 1870 married thomas keogh 1890 in middlesbrough had a daughter mary ann in 1891 in middlesbrough nothing in 1901 census but mary appears on the 1911 census married to edward blair but cant find her mother ellen and i know she didnt die till 1955 can anyone help with some tips on how i can find them please
