Yes - In 1901 her daughter Hettie was living with the couple and listed as surname Newell, ie born pre marriage and still known by her mothers maiden name. Whilst listed as married 14 years in 1911 this probalby included the time they could have been together pre marriage with Hettie's birth |

Mary's birth is on free bmd - if you send for the birth cert. it will give you the names of her parents - have you tried a search on this site to see if anyone else is looking for the family |

hi can anyone help please i am trying to find first names of a couple who got married before 1918 but dont when there surnames are hooley the male one and miss newell i know they had a daughter mary irene hooley in june 1918 registred in rotherham any help finding this mariage and there first names would be appreciated |
