Despite my best efforts, I can't find evidence of a marriage between Colin Mcluckie (c1768) and Agnes Rae (1771) from Larbert, Scotland. From looking at other trees, Colins' parents seem to be Alexander McLuckie and Marion Wood, however the only proof of this I can find is actually a Colon (1768), born to Alexander McLuckie and a Marrion Wood. Looking at Colin's father Alexander, the only Alexander McLuckie I can find way back then has a birth date of 1743 in Cowie, which contradicts most other McLuckie trees, who have him with a date c1721 in Larbert. However I cant find any evidence of him or any other Alexander McLuckie born earlir than 1743. I have found parents for Alexander McLuckie (1743), which are John McLuckie and Jane Nielson, but really not sure if this is the correct Alexander. If anyone can shed some light on this mystery that would be fantastic. Shiona

Alexander Mc Luckie - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 14 JUN 1793 Polmont, Stirling, Scotland Not sure about George McLuckie ... his mother is down as Agnes Rae or Hunter on one of the records. James McLuckie is the only extracted record. The others are submitted.

Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 24 Send Message	Thanks for all of this. I do think I have been looking at the wrong Alexander, but this should help me try and sort through it all. II find it pretty straight forward to track parents when you can see birth or marriage certs, but when you get too far back it gets a bit tricky.
