Hi I am looking for a Thomas Laing Foreman born 1895 who married in Bombay in 1920,s or maybe a little before. Trying to identify whom he marries ? joan ?Eileen. Thomas was a banker and travels first class with wife and child a lot in the 1930,s. We think he worked for Lloyds. He definitely marries in Bombay.

The name 'sounds' Scottish ?? - Is he from England or Scotland please as there are different ways of help needed if he is Scottish ?

Sorry yes it appears he was born on Kircaldy, Scotland. The mystery deepens as I cannot find a death for him either, and rumour has it that his daughter ends up in an orphanage.

AAh - yes - I have him on a passenger list - definitely Scottish - I will leave it to the Scotland experts' to explore.

Can't help with a death but this looks like him in 1901 - all born Kirkcaldy. You should be able to find his birth and his parents' marriage on scotlandspeople:

Thank you. YesI have found him on Scotgov. Just trying to solve the mystery of what happened to the couple, that meant their daughter was left alone. Daughter being Margaret Joyce Foreman born Paddington 1924.

Does anybody have acsess to Indian records as above. Would like to know if there is a death recorded in Bombay for Mabel Joan Foreman, as cannot find one in uk records.

Again I have hit a brickwall with my research. I am looking for the death of Mabel Joan Foreman who was born 2nd Aug 1893 and died 28 th Jan 1973.
That is the only info I have, and is correct as has been verified by a legal team. Can anyone help me place the death so that I can order death cert.

Where ( which country) is the death supposed to have occurred?

If her husband died in Scotland , find out who registered the event.............if it was his widow, the odds are that she also died in that country.

What I find hard to grasp is that you refer to a 'legal' team who have verified her DOD, but they don't know where it occurred. It doesn't really make sense............

I guess the solicitors do not want to part with to much info, thats how I took it anyway. They only gave partial info, but said that was the only knowledge they had.
