my gt grandparents named above were married in secunderabad india, in 1861. William Smith was born in bury st edmunds. around 1831-32. Elizabeth beaton was born in madras possibly eurasian as was my Grandmother Ruth Smith. siblings Elizabeth and David. Ruth married Jospeh Byatt, whose mother was Eliza Panzetta of Italian background and father Thomas,, whose mothere was Mary Thwaite and Father Thomas.
