Have you found them on the 1911 cencus to see how long they have been married, That is of course if they did marry.

Don't think so Maureen as she states on son Fredrick's berth cert 1893 mothers surname McMillan formerly Clarke

Yes Richard by 1911 she has remarried a Arthur George Francis and been married for 3 years and again as yet no record found

I don't know,Jeff,my instincts are telling me that was her considering the fact that Charles Dearing is with her in 1901.

I wonder if her husband was still alive?

Something tells me she did not marry frederick & arthur.

Hi Jeff,
I'm sorry. We did sort of whizzz that one by very quickly without much explanation,although all the refs are provided.

A Mary Ann Clarke-married a Charles William Dearing in 1884.

In 1891 -Mary A Dearing (married but without husband in the household)-along with son Charles A Dearing age 3.

In 1901-Mary A(now McMillan) along with a "boarder" Charles Dearing age 13...whom I suspect is her son.

The places and years of birth are consistent.

Hi Maureen, thanks for that it does all seem to be correct, but she does not stop there because in 1911 she states she is married to a Arthur George Francis another of my conections and has been for three years. but I can find no match under any of her previous names. Jeff

I also forgot to mention she has 2 of her McMillan children with her. Arthur was born in St Pancras in 1866

That's the point.
I'm not sure she ever married anyone other than Charles.
And if he (Charles ) was still alive..........
