How did you find out that her maiden name was Daisy Elizabeth Harries?

Hi Shirley, Have you any thoughts on the DaisyElizabeth Britton/Britten and John H Bowen family? Although she was born in Clutton Somersetshire as were her two sons Clifford and Ronald, the sons married and died in Haverfordwest as I believe did she.

clifford and ronald would have the surname bowen not harries because there dad was john henry bowen. i have seen the census for daisy with her family invloving carmarthen.

but i also found her living in priory in milford haven in 1901

i will phone the town hall again tommorrow to ask her age at death and whose name was the person reporting her death and also her husband.

thanks again.

nearly all the families in milford went to sea as mariners or worked in the fishing industry or were in the navy. because of the port.

What is the documentary source of you 'info?

BTW - the date on her death cert is as provided by the person who registered it. Perhaps he/she was unaware of the woman's true age.

BUT....why would she change the day as well as the year?

A birth registered in AMJ could not be for a child whose birth date was in OCTOBER

I think you need to do some further checking - your info doesn't stack up at the moment
