I have just found a possible marriage for Gwendoline in Penzance in 1931 which is also the place for their mothers death .
Perhaps the paseenger lists may help, which site is better to use for this please?

Just checked on the enumerators discription..it is a home for destitute children. How very sad as they had a mother and grandparents.

I have found Millicent witteyb.1899 in 1911 in West Ham in an institution with her sister Gwendoline b.1901.
I havent looked at the original to find out what kind.
Their parents were Samuel witteyb.1874,d 1934 and Emma Garner b.1875, d1931.
Why are the girls apart from their parents and where are their parents please? What happened to the girls when they left, i cant seem to find any record of them. Can someone please help me unravel this story,thank you.
