i am trying to find details for my grandfathers brother
his name was Charles E Staples born c1890 St Lukes Islington
His father was also Charles Staples born c1864 his mother was Rose Staples born c1865 he had two sisters Edith and Rosina
My Grandfather was Jonathan William born 1897

I would like to find out who Charles married and the year that he died

I have also viewed them on the 1901 Census. my grandfather moved to Grimsby in 1918 and never really gave much information about his brother which is why i am trying to find out if and whom he married and when he died

This obviously doesn't tie in with Charles having died in 1917.

I think your Charles E. was not the Charles Edward that died in WW1 but this Charles Ernest:

Charles father was definitely Charles Ernest ,married to Rose staples ne Butt

As far as i know Charles junior was Charles Ernest and not Charles Edward

This sounds most likely as he was almost certainly Charles Ernest

There's a tree on Ancestry that has Charles Ernest Staples born 1892, Islington, son of Charles E. Staples & Rose J. Butt. No marriage or death info though.

yes thats the right family and also just realised the other Charles that Meg had "Charles Edward" son of Henry Staples (french poliosher) was probably the cousin of my Charles as my great grandfather Charles senior had a brother called Henry who was a french polisher
