I have searched and searched and just can't find anything, just thought I'd try posting it as I know that many people are far better than me at finding info. Seems this one just doesn't want to be found. Thanks for all that have tried to find her and for giving me your time.

Kind regards

Carolyn

Gee

Gee Report 5 Sep 2010 10:26

Nice one Dea

Carolyn, do you know if Rose Alice had any siblings?

x

Dea

Dea Report 5 Sep 2010 10:09

Had looked at that one Ginny - these were the possible births in that Quarter:

Births Jun 1900
Andrews Rose Alice Lewisham 1d 1185
Hodgson Rose Alice Pancras 1b 128
Pegg Rose Alice Bethnal G. 1c 181
PLAYER Rose Alice Lewisham 1d 1209
Reeves Rose Alice V Greenwich 1d 1131
Riley Rose Alice Hackney 1b 583
SNELLGROVE Rose Alice Shoreditch 1c 40
Taylor Rose Alice Islington 1b 171
Wilsher Rose Alice Islington 1b 309

I have looked for a possible marriage for all the above surnames to William George Maycock but there are none between 1900 and 1920 !

That does look promising for the correct death though?

Jonesey Report 5 Sep 2010 09:13

What is your family connection to her?

Carolyn

Carolyn Report 5 Sep 2010 09:09

Couldn't find her on the 1911 census.
Don't think that this is her fathers marriage as the occupations are very different.
Have no idea of when she died only info I have is her marriage.
The 2 Young/Maycock births I think belong to another couple who married in Bromley Kent.

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 5 Sep 2010 08:51

Do you know when and where she died? Her death cert may indicate an actual birth date.

I note that there were 2 Young/Maycock births recorded (1928 + 1931) in Bromley in Kent.
