I still can't figure out the relationships on that 1901. It looks to me as if Susannah's parents are:

He dies in Poplar 1900 and I don't see a re-marriage,so who the heck is Susannah with in 1901? Only thing I can think of is it's her aunt or something.

sorry to be thick, Flick, but age doesn't help. My step dad was born 24 May 1911 in 1 Hilbre Street, Birkenhead, and when he died we had no paper info anywhere and my mother has never wanted to speak about his life. His birth certificate was what put me down the Archibald Currie route and then Scotland came into the frame.
I am finding it extremely difficult to get my head round with so many folk having the same names.
