my aunty was annie meeson before she married into the cartwright family, she lived in liverpool and her husband was a clock maker . she lived to be over 100 years old. would love to find out more about my family as I was in foster care as a child.

my aunt was sister to george meeson who was my fathers father.

I would like to trace my ancestors on the meeson side as I know very little about any of them.

Perhaps if you asked for help saying something like "please", and maybe a "thank you" to the people who have offered help so far ...

The way you framed your original post it seemed you were looking for living relations of your aunt.

In fact, your father, not just your aunt (really your great-aunt, I think), was a Meeson, and it might have made sense to mention that.

thankyou I did in fact find this, but as I still dont have much to go on yet am not sure.

As Flick has said, you need your great-aunt's (or grandfather's) marriage certificate to confirm her age and father's name, when she married.

Then you will know whether that family in 1911 is the right one. It certainly seems to be, but you do need confirmation.

Then you will just trace them back the way we all do with our ancestors!

I'm in Canada -- all my four grandparents were immigrants, two as children around 1910, and two as a married couple in the 1920s. I knew nothing their parents' families in England, when I started, so you aren't alone.

Once you've confirmed that this is the right family, you will also be able to look for living relations, family of the other brothers and sisters, if that is what you would like to do.
