I wonder if we need to find his birth first really? If you are saying he was born Cooper with same maternal name there is only one:

Name: John W Cooper
Mother's Maiden Surname: Cooper
Date of Registration: Jul Aug Sep 1925
Registration district: Boston
Registration county: Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Rutland
Volume Number: 7a
Page Number: 691

Sorry it was niece who lived with her and had the child Emily Cooper

Tracker

Tracker Report 29 Sep 2010 14:10

the name may have stayed Cooper and he would have been born between1919 and1928 as his mother was not maried his birth would have been Boston. Minnie lost her own son aged 1 his name was Francis Edward Blanchard
According to the family Bible the son Minnie brought up from a sister was Ronnie and the sister lived with her for a time after 1919

Quite probably - if not a report, at least a notice of the funeral. Can you narrow it down even a little?

Looking for Ronald/Ronnie/Cooper/Cousens I only found this but I am sure it is impossible as apart from anything else it assumes a mistake in the age:

Name: Ronald E Couzens
Death Registration Month/Year: 1927
Age at death (estimated): 0
Registration district: Sleaford
Inferred County: Lincolnshire
Volume: 7a

that is difficult because I am not sure of his name. Would such a death be recorded in local papers

Well, he wouldn't show up on electoral register anyway so there goes that theory! You will need to trace his death record.

No we are way down the line Minnie was my husbands mothers sister formerly Beckett I am trying to trace a child they had who died before he was 10 known as Ronnie but as they adopted him [not formerly they may have changed his surname from Cooper] this would have been after 1919 so I thought tracking the family may give me a lead He died as a result of an accident at school

Did they have any children? Birth certs will give an address.

After 1911 you need to look at electoral registers. They are searchable by address only. There are some earlier ones, but for most people 1919 onwards are the only useful ones as in that year men over 21 and women over 30 got the vote. You have to search these in person or ask someone to look for you. Obviously only those registered to vote will be shown. There is very little to find otherwise1911-1919 apart from births, marriages and deaths.

Re-reading your first post, not 100% sure what you are after. Are you aware it's not really practical to look at addresses till about 1919?
There is an Elizabeth with Rose in her tree, is that you?
