COULD THEY BE TWINS ??
AND THE MOTHERS MAIDEN NAME WOULD BE?

I HAVE NO JANE AND ROBERT ON MY TREE TO DATE
BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A COINCIDENCE.

not necessarily twins

many families often had more than one child baptized at the same ceremony ..... it saved money!

OR it could be that there was no vicar in the village, that one came round at irregualr intervals.

Very rare to find mother's maiden name in the early days .......... don't forget women were chattels of their fathers and then of their husbands.
