Unless the parish register give an age on the burial record then you may not know. You could try to trace the family on the census and compare the age of any John you find |

It might be worth looking for a burial of the elder John in the home town or village of his parents. |

if you use the pilot version of familysearch which seems to be more accurate it lists the 2 baptisms, 1803 & 1806 and ONE burial 1807. |

Sorry I am really confused now - so are we saying then that they just duplicated the records or that they did have two children with the same names, as I have baptisms for all the children including those with the same name - are these not right then - I got these from FREEREG not IGI |
