Hello Fogarty, welcome to the boards.

As it's a few years since Anne C posted she may not be checking for replies 9if in fact still an active member).

You could click on her name to try contact by direct message.

Hi Anne,
I discovered this site today. Julia was my grandmother. I am currently researching her family history and wondering if you are related to her?

I have now found some more information:
Michael Benedict Murray b 1933 was born in Hollis Street hospital Dublin and the family may have been in living in Leixlip at that time. They also seem to have been in Lucan, Dublin. Julia Murray, who was mother to Michael B Murray apparently ended up living in Dublin with her new family marrying a McGrath and having further children.

I want to find out Julia's children's names and also perhaps what her mother Anne died of, and possibly what Owen died of.

Any help would be great.

By the way, I didn't put in the date of birth before for Michael Benedict Murray - but it's 24 March 1933, but I recall there was a mix up on the birth certificate (or maybe some other record) and it said May 1933 instead.

Hi Lily

thank you so much for doing this - I was completely stumped. I think that you must have the right Anne as the timings seem to fit - I don't suppose you found what she died of? I will check with my mum this weekend about the Kildare link but the names are right and I am sure I've heard Kildare mentioned. Not sure where Michael Benedict was born exactly, definitely Ireland but they may have moved from Trim.
Thanks again - it's so interesting to learn about them.

Hi Anne C,

there are a lot of Murray families in Trim, so without a mothers maiden name it is very hard to try and get the right family without going into the G.R.O. to look through the books.
I did find a Marriage for a Owen Murray to a Mary Early in 1917 in Celbridge in County Kildare.
Murray Owen Celbridge 1917 Oct-Dec. Volumn 2 Page 411.
Early Mary Celbridge 1917 Oct-Dec.Volumn 2 Page 411.
-----------------------------------------------
There is a death for a Anne Murray in 1915 which would fit with the re -marriage of Owen to Mary Early.

Death Anne Murray Trim Apr-June 1915 Vol.2 Page 761. aged 38 years,( est. birth year 1877.)
Both birth and Death year fit with Anne,s age on the 1911 census.
----------------------------------------------------------
I cannot see a Birth for a Michael Benedict Murray (m,m.n. Murray ) for 1933. There is a Michael M. Murray born Trim
in 1933.M.M.N. (Murray)
---------------------------------------------------
Only Michael Benedict Murrays, that i can see are Born Mullingar Jan-Mar 1889 Volumn 3 Page 246.
---------------------------------------------------
Michael Benedict Murray. Mullingar July-Sept 1896 VOL. 3 Page 209.
-------------------------------------------------
Michael Benedict Murray Roscommon Apr-Jun 1922 Vol. 3 Page 203.
-----------------------------------------------
Mullingar is in County Westmeath, which is next County to County Meath.
-------------------------------------------------
The only Birth that i see at the moment for McGrath (m.m.n. Murray)
Elizabeth McGrath Trim Jan-Mar 1938 Vol. 2 Page 567.
--------------------------------------------------
Will look again to-morrow to see if i can finf anything else for you.
Lily.

I also have a further query - Julia has a son in 1933, Michael Benedict Murray (father unknown) but goes on to marry a few years later and has further children, possibly all girls - I think her married name was McGrath (not sure if that's the correct spelling). I would love to know what happens to her and who her children were etc.

That's great - thank you Lily. Something happens to Anne later (I don't know what or when but given that it's Ireland and the time I doubt it is divorce), and Owen marries(I presume) a Mary Early whom I have not been able to find anything so far.

Hi Anne C,
Maybe?????
Births.
Murray Bridget Trim 1905 Jan=Mar. Volimn 2 Page 892.

Murray Owen Trim 1906 July-Sept. Volumn 2 Page 887.

Murray Edward Trim 1908 Apr-June Volumn 2 Page 931.

Murray Julia Trim 1909 July-Sept. Volumn 2 Page 883.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a Marraige for a Owen Murray 1904 Jan-Mar. Trim Volumn 2 Page 877.
But there are three Annes with the same area, volumn number and page, i will put them all here for you,
Anne Callaghan Trim Jan-Mar. 1904 Vol, 2 Page 877.

Anne Stanley Trim Jan-Mar. 1904 Vol. 2 Page 877.

Anne Lawless Trim Jan-Mar. 1904 Vol. 2 Page 877.
-----------------------------------
Mothers maiden name was included in books from 1903 but the recordsearch/searchrecord site do not have mothers maiden name up on the site for earlier Births, so i cannot tell which lady married Owen Murray.

Lily.

Thanks TootyFruity. I had already seen the census, but I don't have anything else at the moment - here's hoping.

I'm trying to find JULIA MURRAY deceased. She was the daughter of OWEN and ANNE MURRAY born around 1909 and living in Rathnally, Kilcooly, Meath, Ireland, and was sister to BRIDGET, EDWARD and OWEN. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
