That's them. You' re a star!!!!

I've been chasing around on this one for years, on and off. I knew Daniel was one of the witnesses when John married, and by chance I discovered that the other witness was his sister Emily (by that time Sales). Now I know where the poor soul hailed from - he passed away between census, and he wasn't resident in his native parish when he married.

Thanks you ever so much, that's made my weekend.

Just looked at the original image and it deffinetly reads more like Denyer!!! Residence.. Ash Common, Farnborough.

I've just tried searching on surname only, there are a few Dengers in Farnborough. The ages are all different from the 1841, and there is only an Emmy, not Emily, but it's possible that is them.

It's always possible, but he wasn't listed as deceased on John's marriage certificate in 1866.

There was an Elizabeth Denyer married in the same Reg District in 1850.

Emily didn't marry until 1860 to an Edward Sales. There was another son Daniel born in 1849 who I can't find either.

Not being able to find any of them is really puzzling.

Had a look at Ebenezer Rowland on the 1851, but there are no children there.Don't think it was our Elizabeth

I don't think so.

In 1841 the family were in the Farnham, Hampshire District, Living at 'Lynchford', Ash.

Mum Elizabeth was 30, sons Thomas 5, John 3 and Emily 1.( Also at the same address listed just above them were some Knowles's, which I believe may be related to Elizabeth - something for another day...)

I've tried looking for John, and I can't find him, thought I would try Emily.

Edit : Beat me to it again, that's them.

Not sure what's going on tonight, I'm suffering from disappearing posts!!

Thanks Vera, my Emily was actually born in 1840, in Ash. I was hoping it was a transcription error.

My Denyers seemed to have disappeared from the 1851, I can only think there has been a surname transcription error, and I'm going to have to do a bit more digging.

The one I found( 1851 census) was born in Ash Surrey, but fathers name is Stephen, mums name is Elizabeth.

I got 'Farnborough, Surrey' from findmypast. I'm hoping the father is John and the mother Elizabeth. Only mum Elizabeth was on the 1841.
