I had a letter published in the Belfast Telegraph on Tuesday - nothing ventured, nothing gained, as the saying goes :-)

It has taken a while but I am now hopeful that the Bournmouth Echo will publish a small piece regarding my quest for decendents of the Vincent family.

I had a nice email this week from them so perhaps things are now moving.

I have made contact and now await 'help results'.

had no reply from Echo email I sent - not even a confirmation of receipt. I am not sure if they are 'allowed' to do this under the Freedom of Information Act. Going to try again with another section of this newspaper.

That's wonderful. Must be someone belonging to this family still around. I think my best course of action is to use the information you have given me and track them down in the same area. Obviously the girls maybe will have married names but I can use the newspaper facility (if this exists) or the local area reference library. Not sure if all areas have this. But I am confidant now to try all the avenues suggested.
