Hello Christine.
I had a relative who committed suicide in 1929 in Lincolnshire. Once I had a definite date for her death, I e-mailed the reference library in the area, and found they had an extensive collection of old newspapers on microfilm, with an index of names.
They found three articles in now-defunct newspapers, which they copied and have sent to me. (Still waiting to receive them, but the librarians tell me they are quite extensive.)
In addition, I ordered a copy of her death certificate, which contained a surprising amount of information. For example, I discovered how she killed herself (coal gas) and that her husband (my grandfather) had deserted her.
As for the inquest documents, it turned out that very few survive, since there was/is no requirement to keep them. However, I'm told that the newspaper reports on the inquest probably contain more information than the coroner's report would have given me.
Another unexpected benefit was that the newspaper search also produced an article on the wedding of another relative.

My uncle was killed at age 15 and we found details of inquest at the Central Library Liverpool where a lot of Family Records are held for the lLiverpool Area.See if there is anything similiar in the area he died.(My uncle fell down a lift shaft we learned)

My father was drowned it gave me a lot of info on Death Cert, and as he was drowned there as to be a post-mortem - coroners report.

You should be able to get a copy of the coroners report ask for it were you got your death cert from, they should be able to tell you were to get it if they do not have it.
