Trying to find a Marriage for William Masters b 1837 b Kingsbury Somerset. and a Sarah. his wife. no maiden name hoping that it is Herring. The family are on the 1861 Census in Dss Norfolk with one child William three months old. and then on 1871 Census living in Lambeth withChildren William 10 Charles George Joseph and Henrietta. Cant find the marriage. in 1881 they are in Tower Hamlets Mile end old town. In the in 1891 Sarah is with her two daughters Rose and Maude in Bow Stratford. Appreciate any help please with the marriage and wifes maiden name. Brenda

Hello Brenda, what is Sarah's year of birth and birthplace from the census?

I'm not seeing a marriage on FreeBMD.

Have you got a birth certificate for one of the children, with Mother's maiden name on it?

On the 1871 in Surrey, Sarah is born in Norfolk - is that where the confusion has arisen?

Similarly, no William Masters born 1861 in Norfolk.

on 1881 Alice is 6 weeks old,born Mile End.
So this birth will give you mothers maiden name for sure

Looks like it was wrong page. Matches that Manning marriage.

Sorry i thought i put that Sarah was born in Norfolk and William born inSomerset. sorry i also got you mixed up with Fanny gaslight. im going daft in my old age Bren
