The record is on Ancestry.
St Cuthberts
Midlothian.
Parish 685/2.
2.Kerr St.

Caroline was bn in Middlesex London,abt 1827.this could explain how James was there in 1881.

If you ask on the Help Clinic board for the census someone can mail you the actual image from SP.

There is one in Kerr St Midlothian

age 25 --Cabinet Maker---

wife Caroline who may have been a first wife and died?-- there are no children

Thank you John, but my Lindsay family were born Edinburgh, Midlothian and 1881 has my James married to Annie (born Dublin Ireland).

Good morning,

i am looking for James Lindsay 1826 Edinburgh Scotland, I have found him in 1841 LINDSAY Jean F 40 Laundress Midlothian
LINDSAY James M 15 Cabinet Maker Appren Midlothian
LINDSAY John M 12 Saddler Appren Midlothian
LINDSAY Margaret F 9 Midlothian
LINDSAY Agnes F 6 Outside Census County (1841)

And again in 1881 in England, but cannot find him in Scotland in 1851, so i think he may already of been in England.
