Thanks for message. If you want to go back in the family i think you will need the birth cert to confirm parents names then you/we could look for the marriage |

Hi jansmith, wow, you have opened a can of worms here, yes he did have a sister Ethel, who married Jack Oliver, they had a daughter, can't remember her name, and a son Christopher. |

Hi Jax, the father's name on the death cert. is Albert Stevens, occupation painter, his mother was Emma, surname unknown. Methinks hubby's mum told a few fibby wibbies :-) as she is listed as the informant of death under Audrey C. Stevens, and we know for certain they were never married. |

He came out on a cargo ship called SS Bardic. He brought several head of Jersey cattle from England to Australia for a John Saleh, then stayed in the Maitland area as a migrant, sponsored by John Saleh. It would have been very late 1956 or very early 1957, mum and the children emmigrated and arrived in April 1957 on the SS Iberia, and Reg Stevens met them at the Sydney docks. His partner was Audrey Constance Ealey, who married Reginald Cyril Smith in 1943. (Audrey & Reg Stevens never married) his step children Terence Michael, Carol Regina, and his natural daughter Amanda Kathleen Stevens., born 1948 |

sorry jax, I have been online all the time, but got sidetracked looking up something else. Unfortunately, I do not have any other info, my husband said that Willesden sounded familiar though. Reginald Stevens died in Australia in 1962, |

I know for sure that my husband's step father was born 16.4.1913 (or could be 15.4.1913 as he was born at midnight). My husband is confident but not certain that he was born in London. Most of his family were in Oxford. I went on to free BMD but it came up with no matches for either London or Oxford. I checked out birth records on Genes, and the only birth reg. that is feasable is Ap-June quarter 1912. Even tried spelling Stevens Stephens but to no avail. I am baffled to say the least. Has anyone got any ideas as to why the registration doesn't show |
