Find Ancestors

Good evening, please could someone find, Joseph Buck 1878 for me in the census, I have found him in 1881 visiting the Gunn family, with his mother Laura Buck 1848:

this could be a possible marriage for Laura in 1887

However I can't locate Laura or Joseph under their Buck name or those other names in 1891.

well done R Rose, does look like the right family.

It seems from the 1881 census Joseph was an illegitimate child to Laura, but perhaps in between 1881 and 1891 Joseph's father made contact (or some other likely story) and so his name was changed to match his fathers (Hayner)

Although the 1891 image looks more like Staynes to me.

His father may always have recognised him, but as they were unmarried Joseph would have to be registered in her name. The birth cert might tell.

wonder if there is a baptism on ancestry for Joseph, that might reveal any info?
