Find Ancestors

I am trying to find the children of Tamar (nee Fead) Thomson b abt 1751 and her husband John Thomson. They were married on 3 Feb 1772 in Dumfries, Scotland. She died in Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire August 1833.

She had a much older brother George Fead (b 1729, d 1815) who was a Lt General in the Royal Artilliary.

His second marriage to Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, and Tamar Fead 's marriage to John Thomson was on the same date (3 Feb 1772, Old Parish Records, from ScotlandsPeople)

Any help in finding her children and her other siblings would be very helpful in making the links to the rest of my Scottish ancestry.

George Fead b abt 1757, Dumfries, is the first son of George Fead b 1729, and an unknown spouse. There is a second son William b 1763 from this same marriage.

George Fead b 1729 was married twice. Second marriage was to Elizabeth Kirkpatrick in 1772. I have all the children from this marriage.

I am looking for the childtren of Tamar (nee Fead) Thomson and John Thomson.

The Feads are a large family with groups scattered all over Scotland, England, Ireland, Australia etc etc.

There is a military side to the family, as well as an Artist (Painters) side.
Both are quite famous in their own rights.

I am trying to keep my focus on Tamar (nee Fead) Thomson and John Thomson as she appears in anecdotal references in my relatives.I think the names you are finding are for the Artists (Painters) side of the family and I have them pretty well documented.
