right Potty he was born in Cookney,Kincardine
and not in England as my dil said.I want to
thank you all for your time and help as found info
because of your help which I knew nothing of.

There is a birth for William Christie 1878 in Dunnottar on scotlandspeople.

There are several records for Alexander and Mary's children on familysearch. The later ones are submitted and include a Mary born May 1881 and died Sept 1881 in Stonehaven. There is a death on scotlandspeople to tie up with this death.

Rootgatherer and Maureen looks good,
especially Victoria Road, and the same
for Gertrude.
