On the baptism of Maria Wright Head it has that words written at the side of Maria's name. Spurious in big letters.

Bit of a tangle with names on Baptism...
On the marriage image, there is a witness Sarah (looks like Newton?) who has signed with an X...

I do have the family from Joseph and Maria. its her father I am stuck with,I thought I knew it...but how wrong I seem to be.

Joseph must have been stationed in Ireland while in the Army,the family landed back in Woolwich later on and stopped there.

Chris that census says they were,nt born in the county!!! I just looked at that.


It has Army after Joseph's name.

Yes Mel that is the family thankyou,I have always thought she was born in 1813.
Maria Wright Head married Joseph Plant 1838.Father William a rope maker
In the same parish records there is a Maria Wright Head born 1820 with father John Coleman mother Sarah Head.

So I have one big problem

I have a Maria Plant born in Woolwich married to Joseph Plant.

I am trying to pinpoint her birth year it is most likely between 1813 and 1820.
On the 1841 census she is mistranscribed as Maria Raul can I please have the later census info about her age.
