That's fascinating Jax. The area is right, the ages are about right. Not too sure about the professor of music though - he was definately a Cooper on his marriage cert. . Could the name for the child with ?? be Susan? |

Susan Burgess (my great aunt) married John William BARLING in 1864. He died in 1879. In 1881 Susan is with most of her children in Bethnal Green BUT I cannot find them in the 1871 census at all nor in subsequent ones. Where were they all? His occupation on children's baptisms indicates he was originally a Cooper then a Pianforte tuner and maker, then a Musician! I wondered if I had the right person but it seems so. |
