Thats' certainly a possibility.
Although I have details of his wife and children, I have no details of anything above him.

If thats a correct match, then I wonder where the children went. as those names are not on the 1861 cencus although they would have been older so maybe not living at home.

Have you got all the children's birth certificates, to see if one gives her maiden name, and I am assuming she has been married before.

I've only got Haffendon's and it says Margaret M and then Samson.
There is no maiden name which is annoying as I bought it to get it!

Fortunately Haffendon is an unusual name so I know I have the right one.

Okay, I now know that the surname of Margaret is Martin from Rofe Samson, which is one of the children.

Also I found a web site that is /has been researching Samson in Kent area and the above marriage from patchem is the right one so thanks for that!!!

I now have these added to my tree but am still not getting anything for John's birth although there is one record which is a christenning so I can't see details. Also for his wedding on 1 Feb 1850 I have no found records / matches so have no details of his parents.

Can anyone view the christenning record for me please?

It appears Sarah's surname Haffendon was then used as a first name later on for her grandchildren and onwards, which is intersting as I did wonder about the name Haffendon.
