Thanks for your help, everyone! I'll send for the Haley Calvert/Edwin Parkinson marriage certificate and report back.

She could well have been adopted and given a new name.

Julie once you have the marriage cert and can give us more positive info we may be able to go further.

I agree Mike, it's just too complicated. I don't see any way forward but to get either a marriage cert for Haley, or Louisa's birth cert.

Strangely there is no Alice Calvert birth in Leeds either.

However there is this census entry ( right age and born leeds)...

I don't think there is any doubt about Louisa Alberta being her sister do you? I would get her birth cert if it were me. Then you can look for the marriage of Alice and Charles.

Yes sorry just looked again and it was Alice wife and louisa grandaughter age 5.

But 1911 has her born 1868/1867, and death certificate is only as good as..........

But Alice and Louisa Alberta are at home 1891.
Haley married 1888.

Haley L Parkinson died 1931 age 65 = 1866!!

I thought maybe Alice had her before she married but i couldn't find one.

I have tried just haley louisa ?? and again nothing.
