Please can someone look up Mr Young, living in the parish of St Martin, Cheriton, Folkestone, Kent in 1911?

I'm sorry, I know nothing more about him, but wondered if the enumerator managed to find out about him.
I just found him on the summary books on Ancestry and he was listed at the end of the report as..........

...on the open moors (wandering)

He's not any link, so I'm just nosey really, but having seen other people in earlier census listed as..... unknown, age unknown, birthplace unknown, ...I wondered if this enumerator was more thorough.

Thank you for looking ladies, but please don't push yourselves too much. It's just I wondered.........

I found him when looking for a house in Cheriton High Street.

Is it possible to search the Summary books by address, do you know.?
I was hoping to find Rose Villa, to see who was living there...... Not family, so no clues there, but the house is now occupied by someone I know and I said I'd try to find out who was there in 1901 / 1911 census.
I can find roads nearby and also the school just down the road, but don't know how to search for what I need.

Many thanks for your time.

Gwyn

All the premises in Cheriton High St in 1911 seem to be numbered rather than named with the exception of the National Provincial Bank.

Do you know the numbers of the premises either side of your friends house

Thank you GB
I bet there are quite a few Rose Villas in town.

This one is just west of Risborough Lane, on the south side of Cheriton High Street and not quite opposite All Souls School( which is on the north side of Cheriton High Street)

Oooh thank you everyone.
I'm glad he was duly entered and not just a lost soul wandering.

You never know. Someone on GR might be looking for him!

House is now number 119, but I remember them saying that it used to be Rose Villa.

Thanks for the great help everyone!

Hi Gwyn
Jamies hand is somewhat on the mend. The amputated finger stump is healing nicely and the stitches have been taken out. The thumb isnt doing too well tho. the end went black and two Sundays ago he had to go emergency to East Grinstead but got turned away by a very unhelpful doctor, he went back the following day and saw a plastic surgeon who gave him powerful pain killers and antibiotics and wanted to see him in two weeks at Faversham Hospital where they can assess what had died and what and where will need further plastic surgery. he is waiting for the appointment to be sent.

Good to hear that at least some of the hand is healing well.
How unhelpful to be turned away from East Grinstead like that. I'm glad he got to see a more helpful surgeon later.

Let's hope it isn't too long before the next hospital appointment arrives and he can get on with what needs to be done next to help him get back best use of his hand.

Do you think we've walked past each other in Cheriton?
