Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me find any and siblings of the John Bell 1811,
I have got some of his family but I have found no siblings for him as yet.

First stop is to find his marriage I think. Might be able to find his father's name that way which would be a start. Do you know when and to whom this took place?

There is a John Bell on the 1841, with sons John and Thomas ............ but his wife's name is Mary, b.ca 1811, Ireland


............... so did he have 2 wives, or was she called Bridget Mary, or ??????

It would be a good idea if you shared with us the info you say you have about John born 1811

The census info about the son which I posted proves that the 1851 posted earlier is correct.

Now that you have been given birthplace info for John (c1811), try looking on the IGI for a baptism

1841....looks like Thomas 1860 was named after a child who died

Now, is Mary in 1841 the same as Bridget in 1851?

Bridget was born 1807, Ireland while Mary is shown as 1811, Ireland

That's 4 years difference ......... which does fit with the rounding down to the nearest 5 on the 1841

Looks like Thomas Bell 1840would have been the uncle of
Thomas Bell 1860 my G g father

I had a look for Flick's 1833 marr in the Durham BTs at
https://www.familysearch.org/s/collection/list#page=1®ion=EUROPE

It's image 226 of 306 but while locating it, I stumbled across image 237.
That's the 1835 baptism of Cuthbert s/o Joshua Bell + Esther of Shotley Bridge - his occup is a real mystery to me.
Whether he's owt to do with your mob, I don't know.

NB Shotley Bridge is 2-3 km WSW of Medomsley.
