Barbara CHRISTOPHER was born about 1711. She married James WILKINS in 1736 at Poole in Dorset. I have not found baptisms for Barbara or James so if you have I should be grateful to hear from you.

Thank you Lynski for trying to help. I have already been on that Kent trail and another researcher had employed someone who found that the Barbara who married Joseph Oliver died in Kent.

I never thought that there would be two other Barbara CHRISTOPHERs.
I have a photocopy of marriage of Barbara Christopher to James Wilkins in 1736 at Poole, Dorset. All their children were baptised in Hampreston.

What was the name of the church where the marriage took place?

Also, have you tried googling for where records for that area are kept? There is a Dorset on-line parish clerk site and you may get something from that.

The marriage of Barbara Christophers and James Wilkins took place in St James's Church, Poole, Dorset on 20th January 1736.

The records on Dorset OPC do not go back far enough to check baptisms. I shall have to go to Dorchester and I cannot go this year.
