The only death I can find of that name in Australia at that time is
Jno Meiklejohn

Father Jno Bennis
Mother Agnes Meiklejohn

Died 1940 aged 72.

Hi Pamela,

Nothing for Ellen Agnes Meiklejohn at all.

I did find find 2 possibles for Ellen Donovan dying in 1942 though.

The first one is the most likely as it's in Victoria.Her parents are not listed.

Ellen Donovan died in Bendigo,Victoria,age 82.Estimated birth year 1860.
Registration number 24564.

The second one is less likely as the death is in NSW.
Ellen Mary Donovan died 1942 Burwood, NSW.
Father's name :John, Mother's name :Ellen.
Registered number 5406.Age was not listed.

There are several family trees on Ancestry and which record Ellen Agnes' death as Marina Road Mentone Victoria on 17th June 1942

She was born October 1859 Warwickshire(some trees have Birmingham Warwickshire)
She married James Meiklejohn 16th Feb 1888 in South Melbourne
