Hi Debbie.
After your message this morning you have got me started again!
Susan Carbis from Cornwall married John Thornhill in Geelong in 1873. She would have been about 36 then. She lived in Ballaratt at some stage. I was wondering where and when she died. I tried looking on a web site but got no results for her name. I don't know too many places to look yet. Thought maybe you could help.
Also would be interested to know when she arrived in Australia.
Regards, Carole

Hi Deborah.
Carole here.
Do you only do the cemeteries around Hamilton, or do you have access to any records of deaths in Victoria?

Hi Persie. Thankyou for your reply. Yes we are lucky to have lots of history in our area. Just a pity we all have to spend time working and not discovering them. Regards Debbie.

Nothing to do with Ancestry Deborah but do you live near the Ocean Coast Road.... My OH thought it was probably overrated and didn't think that we would go that way when we headed from Melbourne to Adelaide but I had other ideas and we had a great time. It is absolutely stunning and amazing and so many little stops. I am a big fan of Tassie, Victoria and Adelaide. Last trip we did was the Eastern side of Victoria. Again absolutely great. You lot have such wonderful old buildings and little places that are steeped in history and relatively unspoilt.

Persie (sorry for interupting your research - well not really)

Hi. Just giving this a nudge to match with time in Australia. I am also willing to do research for anyone at the Hamilton history centre. They have great local info on marriages deaths and births and surrounding areas. Regards Debbie.

Hi. I live in Western Victoria, Australia and I am wondering if anyone would like me to lookup a burial in the following cemetries ( all are around Hamilton) Hamilton lawn, old Hamilton, South Hamilton Lutheran, Tarrington-Gnandethal, Branxholme, North Byaduk, Byaduk, Penshurst, Cavendish new and old, Dunkeld. I love looking at old cemetries and I thought while I was doing this I could be helping someone out who maybe couldn't access them. I can also take photos of headstones and email to you. Also I can do research for victoria bdm and burials. Regards. :-)
