Find Ancestors

Hello,
My gt gt grandfather was Henry Wood who married Harriett Powell JAS 1881 W Ham 4a 180. They had two children that I know of Charles b c 1882 (four possible birth records) and Julia Harriet b 1884 Wanstead. I have found the family in the 1891 census and the 1901 census where Julia is now listed as Harriet and in the 1901 census I have Julia showing as Harriet Julia Wood servant age 27 single cook (domestic). She then goes on to have a child in 1912 and marry in 1916.

What I am struggling with is tracing her parents Henry Wood and Harriett Powell and their families back a generation. I'm just trying to get a rough idea of who and where they were so I can follow it up by obtaining certificates at a later date.

Can anyone come up with anything positive for me - i'm getting a headache looking at all these records!!
