Trying to find address of my father at the time of his divorce decree on 14th March 1972 Southend County Court, his name Herbert Steele, Married 27th January 1934. How do I do this please

Not sure this is possible, as electoral registers at the time are searchable by address only.
I assume you have had no contact? Maybe you need to start by looking for his birth if you want to try tracing what happened to him.
