Parents of Sylvia Stevens - Electoral Roll Lookup?

Hi guys

I am trying to find the parents/family of Sylvia Stevens (b Jan 1937).

We know very little about Sylvia, apart from the fact that she lived at 2 Dallas Road, Hendon in the early-mid 1950s, we know her brother and father were alive at this time but that her mother may have passed away and we assume she was born in the Middlesex / North London area.

Can anyone access/search the electoral rolls online (confiming who lived at 4 Dallas Road too as this will confirm the correct family at number 2)? Or suggest another method of finding this out. Unfortunately I am restricted with travel atm.

Historical ER's are NOT on line.

You would have to visit - or contact - the main public library for the area.

i am afraid electoral rolls for that time are only available at the local Records Office/ Main Pubic Library for the area,

Thanks for pointers guys ... I feared I would have to make the journey to London or pay for a researcher.

Flick, there are a couple of individuals born at that time in the N London area with the same name - but I may try some digging in records availbale on here and see what I come up with. Sylvia was informally adopted btw, hence the search.

find the name of the library closest to the address

email them to ask if they have the Electoral Roll for that period, or if they know where it is.

They may do it for free, or you may have to pay a small charge .... but it would be far cheaper than paying a professional reseacher!

Was she born as Stevens or was that her adopted name?

There is only one Sylvia Stevens born in that quarter but it was Tonbridge.
