Thanks all.. re the Ancestry details..
First, Ancestry B & D's record the marriage in April1809 in England.
Next, if the Ancestry tree reference is taken as is, the child to this pair was born in 1801 in Kentucky, completely at odds with the Marriage record so looked further.. the Child is not a Neate but instead, Neete ( Census) or shortened, Neet, in Death records.
Communicated with Tree owner.. no documentation, they "thought" it was a match but given timeline, geography, variance in spelling, I can't see it being connected to the couple married in 1809 in England.
In an earlier posting, where I was chasing two brides, one of whom was Susan, "BatmansDaughter" gave some leads as to possible early deaths for Susan & John, 1810 & 1813 however, real quandry is where did Susan appear from.. when was her birth, what parents etc as Tree currently stands, our earliest Susan is 1813
Cheers Wayne

John Neate junior was born in Kentucky on September 20th 1801.
His occupation in 1850 is given as farmer. His death 11th May 1858.
Looks like he had a daughter born 16th August 1855 in Woodford, Kentucky.

Hi Wayne,
there is a tree on Ancestry with Susan Woonton born c1780 who married a John Neate also born c1780. There was a son John born 1801 and died 1858. Don't know if this is of use but may be worth contacting tree owner. Dates are a bit out but stranger things have happened.
Good luck.

Edit: John Neate married Susan Woonton on 12th April 1809 at St Mary at Lambeth according to this tree. In 1800 he was apparently a resident in Kentucky USA.

Appreciate any help to trace a mystery Bride. According to the St Mary at Lambeth Register of Marriages.. a Susan Woonton married a John Neate on the 12th April 1809.. problem is, we've no record of a Susan that early in our Tree.. from 1700 on there are none till 1813. No subsequent records re Susan/John either.. If anyone has spotted a reference to this pair, I'd be most appreciative. Regards all Wayne
