It is strange how things turn out as I have had some surprising things in my tree also.

Hello again.

I have kindly been sent the entry of William and Marias marriage and I can see where the confusion comes from. The person who has written it, their 'y's look like 'z's and given that neither Maria or William could write I suppose saying Lester/Lusty/Lister may sound similar in some accents??

I'm convinced that Marias surname was Lusty, would you agree?

This is an amazing coincidence as we have friends with the surname Lusty AND it would appear these are her Lustys too! Spooky!

Thomas Lusty married Sarah Elizabeth Fuller 1810 Bach and Spin. at St. Anne Limehouse.

Can't find Maria bap. Found Jane Elizabeth and Harriet with father Thomas a Ropemaker.

There is only the marriage banns on Ancestry and they were read on 29 5 and 12 and I think they married on 19th Feb.

It does say they were Bach. and Spin.

Also I've wondered if William was married before?..not impossible I know.
