hi thankyou do you know how i can find out what the medles are for and thankyou for a great start as i have oly just started on this side of the family
will the medels tell me where he served and so forth.

Just to confirm. it states on this record he marraied a Margaret on the 2 nd of October 1917, at the church of Assumption in Wexford.

WW1 Army records are on Ancestry, i have had a look with the details you have stated, the only thing i can find is his medal card.

In case you are not aware 70% of these records were destroyed in WW2, so it looks as though his were amongst those that were destroyed.
