Please help. I am searching for this lady who originally came from Teesside and married in 1975 to a Charles Cooke. Cannot find anything further, she may be deceased.

Anne-Marie, you have a post on the Living Relatives board started simultaneously.

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/board/living_relatives/thread/1269372

The rule of this site is one post per topic. This is to avoid having people waste their time doing research to try to help that someone else has already done.

The post on Living Relatives is a waste of time; the person you are looking for is obviously not reading posts at this website.

However, the rule here appears to be that that is where the post belongs, under the new system.

You may want to clarify this by email with the site management -- that you do not want to waste your time on the Living Relatives board, and what should you do.

Meanwhile, I am actually quite sure this is not the first time I have seen these names.

... And I was right. Presumably you two are related.

Thanks Janey,

No I havn't mentioned this lady before, this search is for a good friend of mine. I posted it on both simply as we are not sure if she is living or deceased (if you see my logic) apologies if this is incorrect.

Regards

Anne-Marie

It is incorrect. As I said, the rules are: one post per topic. The new system is incomprehensible, certainly, but that's not the fault of other members, who are the ones affected by multiple posting.

Did you see the link I posted in my thread? It is to a post a couple of days ago by someone else. That's where I said I saw the name you are looking for. I posted the link for that reason ... so you could see that post ... which makes 3 in the space of a couple of days all about the same person.
