Would someone be able to look to see if my Uncle CHARLES DOUGLAS appears in the 1930 or 40 US census please? He emigrated to Canada in 1929 (via Quebec and possibly to Montreal - my thanks to Ginny for that bit). We now think he may have gone on to America, possibly Illinois (there is a reference in the 1930 census to a Charles Douglas b. 1907 on Ancestry but I don't have access to these records. |

There are actually a few of them b 1907 on the 1930 census, but all of them give places of birth in the USA |

The only Charles Douglas from Scotland in Illinois (or elsewhere) in 1930 was born in 1904. He is in a state penitentiary, so no occupation showing. |
